Case Study: Sticky Soap
A soap manufacturer had a problem. When they transported their highly concentrated detergent mixture, the product was so viscous that it clung to the inside of a traditional tanker and did not drain efficiently. The unloading process was too time-consuming and could take up to a week to complete.
QES devised a unique solution for the manufacturer: a plunger on the inside of the tanker designed to forcibly push the product out of the tank, similar to how a caulk gun functions. This solution turned a multi-day unload into a quick, hour-long process. Thanks to this customized solution, the delivery process was faster, drivers could transport loads more efficiently, and equipment utilization rates greatly improved.
